If not for the reward
Then for the sake
Of the journey
We find ourselves
Broken away
Or just broken
But what is there?
There is light
There is hope
There is not the destination
It is the here and now
There, is here

Beautiful photography and poem, Mark. Both combine very well. I like the succinctness of your words and the idea of here and there mingling. This reminds me of Cavafy’s poem Ithaka, where the important thing is our life journey, not just the final destination by itself, but a journey where it is good to linger, a journey to wisdom: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/51296/ithaka-56d22eef917ec

Thank you Marta. This time in my life is like the journey to Ithaka. A time to reflect and remember
