Strays

We are animals
We are not animals
Instinct in our blood
Reason in our minds

The night was long
Its cold walls
Falling on us
Like castles besieged

We flew through the towers
Picking up willing strays along the way

We were all strays
Looking to be led
Looking for strength
Hanging on to the sinew of words
That gave us wings

With such intense velocity
Tears escaped our eyes
Blowing off into infinity
Creating clouds of hope

Slowly
As dawn approached
We strays found our homes
Our place of belonging

We are animals
We are not animals

Negative Space

An interesting term
Depicting a specific nothingness

The space that holds nothing
Waits to be filled
It’s actually a very nice gesture
This negativity
That is not negative in any real sense

…if you drive a car…the space in front of your car can become a negative space…(fast living)
