Tough
Is the shell
Skin worn
But not destroyed
Sleep
Has been my pastime
While assaults of cold
Bitter winds
Remove molt
The days are longer
Something stirs
Exoskeleton eases
Something new
Something green
Rebirth
Forces itself
Screaming quietly
For the sun
There seems to be an abundance of weather related stories and blog posts today. So here’s mine! I do have to admit, our weather here is pretty dull compared to those in the north. This year has been seasonal for a nice change (in So Cal).

My folks live in the SB bay area and even they are weary of the rain.

Here in San Diego County, we have reached our typical average, but I am always happy to see the rain. It tends to make everything cleaner and clearer.
We like to vacation in summer in the Mammoth Mountain area. The peak has seen over fifty feet of accumulated snow this season! And it’s not done yet!

Sounds like they will have snow late into spring. Wonder if there will be enough runoff for the Colorado to reach the Sea of Cortez.
